Hello Missoula Artists and Non-Artists Alike -
 

Here I, Jack Metcalf, sit in Real Good Art Space surrounded by past 'art' projects that are showing their age. I have no clue what to do with them, they just keep on accumulating. They have been moved countless times, and each time they get a new scuff, dent, stain, etc.

Being the problem solver that I am, I decided to put some of these old gems together one more time and curate a wee self-retrospective that also functions as a scratch and dent sale. Here is the skinny:

STATEMENT: 

Things Fall Apart is a retrospective of sorts, probably premature, definitely incomplete. 

Through the wide lens, everything is ephemeral. Nothing lasts forever. All matter has a half-life. What once was, is now or is soon to be different. Time and place does not allow hindsight to be 20/20.

Things Fall Apart showcases just that. One individual's multiple approaches to art projects, both completed and abandoned, only to show the wear and tear that is inevitable.

LOVE YOU GUYS AND GALS, MEAN IT. I also am pretty sure we will have a Bingo performance, and food truck.
